Clergy & Staff

The Rev. Vincent F. Scotto has been senior pastor of Good Shepherd since February 1986. He also served as Dean of the Venice Deanery of the Diocese of Southwest Florida from 1995 - 2000.

A native of New York State, he graduated from the Church Divinity School of The Pacific, Berkeley, California in 1974. He previously served churches in the Hudson Valley of the Diocese of New York and the Finger Lakes Region of the Diocese of Rochester, New York. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in the field of communications and prior to entering the ministry worked in the broadcasting industry.

Certified both as an Interim Ministry and Myers-Briggs Consultant, he also pursues an interest in Jungian psychology and is a member of the Society for the Study of Myth and Tradition. His other interests include amateur radio (N2ALI), biking, backpacking /hiking and scuba diving.
 

 

 

The Rev. Judith S. Roberts – Judith graduated from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and the Episcopal Divinity School, Cambridge, Mass. She later did post graduate work at Seabury Western Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL.
She was ordained Deacon in 1995 and served at St. Paul’s, Columbus, IN. Ordained Presbyter in 2002, she served as Assistant at All Saints, Seymour, IN. In 2003 she became Assistant to the Rector at St. David’s, Englewood, FL and became Assisting Priest at Church of The Good Shepherd in March 2007.

Judith has spent a number of years as a full time Hospice Chaplain in south central Indiana and had worked extensively in the Social Work filed in Texas. Currently she co-mentors an E.F.M. (Education for Ministry) group and is diocesan facilitator for E.F.M. in Southwest Florida. She is also certified as a facilitator for Walking the Mourner’s Path,
a bereavement support program.
